CCMS honors integration video script and stakeholder messaging
An April 2020 email chain preserves the final script and internal wording discussion for a CCMS English Language Arts video about integrating Inclusion, Benchmark and Honors instruction for incoming sixth graders.

ELA Department Chair Leah Thomasson sends Principal Elsy Villafranca and Assistant Principal Julie Markussen the final script and notes several deliberate wording changes: the script would say "6th grade" only once, change "plans to" to "hopes to," and end by inviting stakeholders into a conversation.
The script says the Language Arts Department planned to integrate the curriculum for Inclusion, Benchmark and Honors classes for incoming sixth graders, with students working at honors-level rigor while receiving inclusion supports, scaffolding and differentiated instruction.
The email also records an unresolved messaging question about whether to tell families at that stage that the change would begin in sixth grade and then roll into seventh and eighth grades. The final script emphasizes diversity, varied student models and continued stakeholder engagement.
