At a glance

Youth-services nonprofit with documented Culver City public-sector relationships. New Earth served CCUSD students through a district relationship beginning in 2022 and later sued the District over disputed Year 2 compensation terms. Separately, the City of Culver City documents New Earth as the service partner in CCPD youth diversion and as part of a two-year $4.5 million infrastructure-improvement program beginning in 2021. These are distinct public-agency relationships and are not treated as evidence of coordination between the City and school district.

Context note

The organization's current website says New Earth was founded in 2004, while IRS-derived records show federal tax-exempt status dating to January 1997; both source-specific statements are preserved. The current website lists 12100 W Washington Boulevard, Los Angeles, while IRS-derived records and older materials use 6001 Bristol Parkway, Culver City. The September 18, 2026 DecisionDepot page reproduces a Los Angeles Superior Court summary-judgment ruling in case 24STCV13243; CCR has not independently retrieved a final signed judgment or complete court docket, so the litigation record is bounded accordingly. The City's $4.5 million wording describes the size of a two-year partnership program and is not treated as proof that the City alone funded the entire amount. CCR now archives the primary litigation filings in case 24STCV13243. In her February 4, 2026 sworn declaration, Yana Grammer stated that New Earth priced the CCUSD project to cover expenses and leave a nonprofit surplus for unexpected project costs and other New Earth projects. The September 18, 2026 court order granted CCUSD summary judgment on a separate contract-formation analysis; CCR does not convert Grammer's pricing explanation into a judicial finding of overcharging.
