Renae of NilesFiles forwards the catering proposal with the comment that the menu is "overpriced" and says she will follow up again about the reduced price she had requested. The record preserves that characterization as the sender's own view.
Vendor Martin Draluck says the event would require roughly four or five staff members, including kitchen and food-and-beverage staff, and proposes six courses with one vegan item and two vegetarian items.
Draluck says the event could be executed for $5,000 total and offers an itemized receipt after completion. The proposed menu lists smoked deviled eggs, pickled shrimp, Texas toast, stuffed onions, vegan crab cakes and baked chicken wings. The document does not by itself establish who ultimately paid, whether the proposal was accepted, or what role CCUSD had beyond the record appearing in the district production.
