Young says a DEI meeting included claims about the racial diversity of English 9 Honors and 10 Honors and asks Cooper to pull current numbers so the district can see what the actual enrollment data show.
She specifically asks how diverse the honors classes are compared with the other English 9 and 10 sections and references a claim that the honors classes were more than 65 percent Black and Brown.
Young explicitly says she does not know what the numbers actually show. Cooper replies that she is working on it, so the surviving record documents the request for data rather than the resulting demographic analysis.
