Context note
Faring is used here as the operating/development brand. Public filings separately identify Faring Property Group, Inc. and Faring Capital, LLC, and project-specific ownership can sit in separate LLCs such as Robertson Court, LLC and Carson Goose Owner, LLC. Official West Hollywood records show Latham & Watkins registered for land-use entitlement work for Faring Capital / Robertson Court and Faring Capital / L&R Laurel Project in 2024-25; the June 2026 Robertson Row notice identifies Cullen Tyndall of Paul Hastings as applicant representative. Carson records expressly state that Faring Capital entered the original December 2020 option agreement for Cells 3, 4, and 5 of the former Cal-Compact landfill and assigned it to Carson Goose Owner in January 2021. Carson’s audited financial report describes a $45 million residual land value structure, a $12.5 million initial payment, a $32.5 million remaining payment under stated conditions, and direct remediation obligations; separate Carson staff records describe additional O&M and extension payments. Acadia Realty Trust disclosed a $29 million July 2026 acquisition of 8800 Melrose Avenue; Traded identifies Jason Illoulian/Faring Capital, Cobby Pourtavosi/Capital Insight, and Ponya Abdi/Parallel Acquisitions on the seller side, and CoStar independently associates the same groups with the sale. Filing-based local reporting says Faring established the Save the Factory committee in the 2018 Robertson Lane referendum fight and reports Illoulian-family/Faring-associated campaign giving in West Hollywood. The September 9, 2026 Puza/Ezidore campaign event is documented at Faring’s 659 N. Robertson address, but venue use alone is not treated as a monetary or in-kind contribution. No direct Faring-owned or Faring-developed Culver City property, and no Faring role in the CCUSD Brookwood/Rivercrest study, has been identified as of September 9, 2026.
