Context note

The 2024-25 City lobbyist registry directly lists Latham & Watkins for Faring Capital / Robertson Court LLC at Robertson Lane and Faring Capital / L&R Laurel Project at 7965-7985 Santa Monica Boulevard. The June 2026 City Robertson Row notice identifies Cullen Tyndall of Paul Hastings as applicant representative. Acadia Realty Trust disclosed the July 2026 acquisition of 8800 Melrose Avenue for $29 million. Traded identifies Jason Illoulian/Faring Capital, Cobby Pourtavosi/Capital Insight, and Ponya Abdi/Parallel Acquisitions as seller-side participants, while CoStar independently associates the same seller groups with the transaction. Filing-based local reporting says Faring established the Save the Factory committee and reports substantial Illoulian-family/Faring-associated campaign giving in West Hollywood in 2019-2020. Those family donations are not attributed to Jason personally unless the underlying filing names him. The reviewed current Culver City campaign-finance corpus did not show a contribution under Jason Illoulian, Faring, Faring Capital, Jake Stevens, or Chris Trueblood to Freddy Puza or Triston Ezidore as of September 8, 2026. No direct Faring or Standard-Faring role in the CCUSD Brookwood/Rivercrest study has been found.
