Context note

The John Thomas Dye School biography identifies Illoulian as Faring’s CEO and founder and as a board member since 2025. California Secretary-of-State-derived filings list him in senior officer roles for Faring Property Group, Inc. and as an authorized person across multiple real-estate entities. California State Bar records show Jason Daniel Illoulian was admitted in 2009 and has been inactive since January 2021; this is a professional-status fact, not a disciplinary finding. West Hollywood’s official cannabis licensing material identifies Jason Illoulian and Cobby Pourtavosi as owners of CALMA WeHo. Official 2024-25 lobbyist records list Latham & Watkins as land-use representative for Faring entities, and the 2026 Robertson Row notice lists Cullen Tyndall of Paul Hastings as applicant representative. Carson public records independently establish a direct public-private redevelopment relationship in which Faring entered a 2020 option agreement for landfill Cells 3, 4, and 5 and assigned it to Carson Goose Owner, LLC in 2021; Carson’s audited financial report describes a $45 million residual land value structure. Priority Capital Advisory quotes Illoulian and Faring CFO Chris Trueblood saying the adviser arranged multiple financings for Faring; only individually documented financings are treated as canonical money records. Acadia Realty Trust disclosed a $29 million July 2026 acquisition of 8800 Melrose Avenue; Traded identifies Jason Illoulian/Faring Capital, Cobby Pourtavosi/Capital Insight, and Ponya Abdi/Parallel Acquisitions on the seller side, with CoStar independently associating the same groups with the sale. Filing-based reporting documents substantial Illoulian-family/Faring-associated political giving in West Hollywood, but family members’ donations are not treated as Jason’s personal contributions. A September 8, 2026 search of the current published Culver campaign-finance records located no contribution under Jason Illoulian, Faring, Faring Capital, Jake Stevens, or Chris Trueblood to Freddy Puza or Triston Ezidore; that negative search is not proof no contribution exists or will later be reported. A public-record aggregator also reports additional 2025-26 mortgage relationships involving Bank of America, Bank OZK and A10 Capital, including a reported $123 million 2026 Bank OZK instrument tied to 601 Park Drive, LLC at 600 Park Drive in Carson; that item remains a research lead until recorder-level or lender/borrower documentation is archived.
