Brookwood email on revised proposal and expected union support for workforce housing
A September 30, 2022 email from Brookwood Advisors president Alan Katz to Kelly Kent and Quoc Tran forwards a California Federation of Teachers article on educator housing and discusses Brookwood's effort to revise its proposal after a difficult Board meeting.

Katz says Andy Lie asked him to send the CFT article in support of the district's goal and says Brookwood was revising its proposal to respond to Steve Levin's request for a reset.
He describes the prior meeting as a difficult four-and-a-half hours but says Brookwood remained encouraged and wanted to compare notes on a process for a successful outcome.
Katz writes that Brookwood believed unions would support housing if employees had a fuller understanding of the benefits. That is Katz's stated expectation; the email does not establish an official union position.
