Kelly Kent email on Brookwood contract, Measure CC and facilities funding

Kent tells Yamashita that the Brookwood contract was $180,000 with a possible not-to-exceed amount of $300,000, says another survey would be conducted, and states that more than half of staff respondents in 2019 had expressed interest in campus housing.

Kent also says facilities money and program/personnel money did not overlap, states that Measure CC capital-improvement funds were exhausted, and says she believed the district would need another bond in 2024 for facilities upgrades. These statements are presented as Kent's explanation in the email.

Yamashita replies that agenda documents appeared to show a maximum amount of $485,000, questions how the prior survey results were being interpreted, and argues that urgent school repairs should take priority. The exchange therefore preserves a contemporaneous disagreement about contract figures, fund flexibility and project priorities.
