Paula Amezola and Robert Quinn emails on facilities work during the workforce-housing debate
A September 2022 email exchange documents Paula Amezola asking Robert Quinn for concrete examples of current facilities work so the Board could respond to criticism that the workforce-housing proposal would divert attention or money from school repairs.

Amezola forwards a constituent email opposing the Brookwood proposal and asks Quinn for examples showing what the district was already fixing and how the proposed plan would not stop that work.
Quinn replies with an internal tracking list that includes transitional-kindergarten classrooms, exterior lighting at all schools, additional HVAC installations, shade structures, complete painting at the high school and middle school, athletic fields, restroom remodeling, classroom sink plumbing and phased upgrades to the high-school drainage system.
The underlying constituent message argues that district funds should be directed toward school facilities rather than real-estate development. CCR preserves that position as attributed correspondence rather than treating it as a district finding.
