Kelli Tarvyd forwards a message sent to CCHS families saying the school would review its current honors classes and submit them for University of California honors approval. The message lists Geometry, Algebra, Precalculus, Chemistry, Biology and Physics among the courses then offered and explains that UC-approved honors courses can receive an additional GPA point in the UC application calculation, subject to UC limits.

College counselor Thelma Valverde asks whether CCHS is attempting to have the classes redesignated for the additional grade point. She states that Honors Physics and Honors Chemistry had previously received an extra point and attributes a later designation change to former administrator Lisa Michel.

This document records Valverde's statement and the school's 2022 resubmission plan; it does not by itself establish when, why or through what formal process any earlier UC designation was changed.
