Current Rivercrest materials say the firm conducted a comprehensive strategic analysis of CCUSD's underutilized real-estate portfolio. The CSBA listing describes Rivercrest as 'formerly Brookwood Partners,' while Chris White's biography says he began working with Alan Katz in 2017 at Brookwood Group. The November 8, 2022 CCUSD video transcript refers to an agreement with 'Brookwood advisors.' At the May 9, 2023 Board meeting, district staff described the prior Brookwood contract as $480,000 and clarified that a $180,000 open purchase order was not a single check but funds reserved and paid as services were used. These related historical names are preserved rather than treated as proof that every similarly named Brookwood legal entity is identical.
