On October 12, 2022, Assistant Superintendent Robert Quinn asked the Citizens' Bond Advisory Committee for feedback on a narrower Brookwood property study and said Restricted Redevelopment money would pay for the work if it was approved.

Quinn tells committee members not to reply all because a group discussion by email could create a Brown Act problem, and asks members to send individual feedback on whether the district should proceed with the narrower proposal.
He says no final decision had been made on proposal cost or funding but that Restricted Redevelopment money would be used if the study were approved.
The proposed four-to-five-month study would review CCUSD-owned properties and potential future uses that might generate long-term district revenue. The description says possible revenue could support instruction, after-school programs, social services, employee healthcare or childcare, housing subsidies, salaries and credentialing assistance, with stakeholder input and a later Board action item.
