The November 8, 2022 CCUSD archived auto-transcript records Superintendent Quoc Tran recommending Brookwood after comparing Brookwood and Cordoba and records board approval of an agreement with 'Brookwood advisors.' At the May 9, 2023 Board meeting, district staff described that prior contract as $480,000 and clarified that a $180,000 open purchase order was funds set aside under the same contract rather than a single $180,000 payment. The November transcript also records board-level discussion in favor of exploring district property for revenue-producing uses and possible housing, but its automatic speaker labels are not reliable enough to attribute every pro-Brookwood statement or the exact individual vote to Kelly Kent or Paula Amezola. This canonical record therefore does not characterize either trustee as the initiator of the proposal without clearer official minutes. Rivercrest's current page says the analysis reviewed 13 sites and produced scenarios from 35 to 200 residential units across various sites, including the District Office, corporation yard facilities, and portions of the high school and intermediate school campuses.
